Nollywood filmmaker, Olayide Amen has been around for a while; his imprints are on numerous award winning and critically acclaimed movies, especially as a cinematographer and editor. This time, the light skinned filmmaker alongside Bollywood trained director, Hamzat Barshan decided to make a statement in the Yoruba movie industry by producing a high-tech, huge budget epic Yoruba movie titled AYOADE.
The original story was written by Amen Olayide, who also doubles as the producer and Director of Photography, dialogue director was Akin James a.k.a. Akigbe.
Shot on locations in Ajilete, Ogun State Nigeria, the movie tells the story of lost love, love, rivalry and quest for royal inheritance. A rear and brilliant weaving of plots with crisp cinematography.
Ayoade according to the producer is a working title, as the original title of the movie will be released along with the official trailer.
“I am happy at the success of this project. We took our time on set to achieve the best for the production. For this movie, we did not focus on stars, instead, we chose to discover new faces who delivered brilliantly. No one would be disappointed seeing the movie when it’s finally out. We shot with state of the arts equipment to make sure the production comes out just perfectly. And the director brought a lot of foreign touch to the project. Ayoade is a working title, the original title will be out with the trailer soon.”
The movie to be released under Starfaze Media Limited parades casts such as Ifetomi Animashaun, Comfort Timothy, Theophilus Aluko, Funke Bolarinwa, Tawakalitu Lawal, Ayedun Aremu, Omobonike Adekunle, Seunmanuel Faleye and Akin James a.k.a. Akigbe.
