According to a latest report, the Lagos State House of Assembly has threatened to issue a warrant of arrest on the former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode and four of his commissioners.
This comes after the former Governor and the ex-commissioners failed to appear before the House.
The names of the four former commissioners include, Mr Kazeem Adeniji Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice; Olusegun Banjo Commissioner for Budget; Akinyemi Ashade Commissioner for Finance; and Wale Oluwo Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources.
Also, the latest decision was reached after two preliminary reports were presented on Thursday by two ad-hoc committees set up by the House to investigate the 820 buses purchased by Mr Ambode and to appraise the 2019 mid-year budget.
The ad-hoc committee revealed that due process was not followed in the purchase of the buses as the former Governor didn’t get an approval from the house first.
However, some of the legislators were of the opinion that the former Governor should be summon first before he is arrested should he fail to appear before the House.
