Public Relations expert, online publisher and author of critically acclaimed book ‘Ladies Calling The Shots‘, Niran Adedokun has further stamped his foot as a literary sensation, and ‘national prophet’ of some sort since releasing his sophomore book titled; The Danfo Driver In All of Us.
Although, only recently released, on the Prima imprint of Narrative Landscape Press, the 250-page book has continually enjoyed warm reception and positive reviews.
Adedokun, on Monday, November 4, joined over 20 other authors including Nollywood actor, Femi Jacobs, Associate Editor with the Nation Olukorede Yishau at Book Trek, the opening event of the Lagos Book and Arts Festival, LABAF, to read from their books.
According to a statement by Adedokun, his new book is a compilation of some of his reflection on national issues published across different news platforms including The PUNCH, Thecable.ng, premiumtimes.com and social media and platform Facebook.com.
These essays, according to the author who is also the publisher of online news portal, eelive.ng were conceived during his reflections on various aspects of national life over the past six years.
In his forward, Provost of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and former Editor of The PUNCH, Mr. Gbemiga Ogunleye lends credence to the authors undeniable passion for change in the country. Although, he doesn’t agree with Adedokun that every Nigerian has a ‘Danfo Driver Trait’, in them, however, it is common knowledge that the average Nigerian shares certain traits with danfo drivers.
He agrees the authors literary work of art ” addressed contemporary issues in the country; from politics, gender issues, family affairs to entertainment...”
