When it comes to weddings, several celebrities seem to take one of two methods: the details of the wedding ceremony are kept very private or the crowds are invited to watch their big day. When a famous couple decides to broadcast their wedding, chances are it’s assured to be an extravagant affair.
The year 2019 is coming to an end, leaving with us so many beautiful memories, innumerable amazing wedding moments and blissful celebrity weddings that will outlast the year.
While there weren’t as many of them as we had in 2017 or even in 2018, the year still has its fair share of remarkable celeb weddings and in this list we bring you the very best of them.

Jennifer Lawrence & Cooke Maroney
The Oscar-winning actress and art dealer got married on October 19 this year. The bride wore a Dior wedding dress on her big day.
Justin Bieber & Hailey Baldwin:
The Biebers got married in front of 154 of their closest family and friends on September 30 at the Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina.
The radiant bride changed into a white halter-neck wedding dress for her reception and had on $123,000 Tiffany studs in platinum with diamonds, while the groom wore a black bow tie and a new Audemars Piguet watch he had apparently bought for himself as a wedding gift.
John Dumelo and Gifty Mawunya Nkornu:
The Ghanaian actor officially tied the knot on 12th May 2019 with an extravagantly colourful white wedding. His white wedding came a year after his traditional one. Dumelo sealed his marriage to the love of his life and long-time girlfriend, Gifty Mawunya Nkornu.
The bride was flawlessly dressed in a white mermaid wedding gown with lace and shimmery details at the back. The groom wore a purple suit paired with a snow-white shirt and a bow tie. The bride’s maid wore white mermaid dresses that looked so gorgeous. The maid of honour was the bride’s best friend and actress Nadia Buhari, who was also elegantly dressed in a white dress.
Cassie Ventura & Alex Fine:
The “Me & U” singer recently married her fiancé in Malibu. The pair, who got engaged in August, are expecting their first child together
Cassie looked simply sensational as she wore an off-the-shoulder wedding gown which perfectly clasped her blossoming bump.
Cassie chose to co-design a dress with billowy sleeves and a high slit with her friends and stylists, Marni Senofonte and Deonte Nash, as well as two tailors. She wore Jimmy Choo shoes, while her groom, who also shared a sweet video documenting the wedding, wore a Musika tux.
Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson & Lauren Hashian:
The Jumanji star announced on the morning of August 19 that he tied the knot with long-time girlfriend and singer/music producer Hashian in an intimate ceremony in Hawaii.
The husband and wife first met in 2006 while the actor was filming The Game Plan and started dating in 2007. They share daughters Jasmine and Tiana.
For the ceremony, Johnson opted for a white shirt and white pants by Ralph Lauren Purple Label. Hashian wore a long white Mira Zwillinger lace dress with a low-cut neckline and long train.
Idris Elba & Sabrina Dhowre:
Reigning Sexiest Man Alive and his model bride tied the knot in Morocco on April 26 at the Ksar Char Bagh luxury hotel in Marrakesh.
Sabrina was elegantly adorned in a Vera Wang gown and Idris paced expectantly in a three-piece Ozwald Boateng suit.
Chance the Rapper & Kristen Corley:
The 25-year-old hip-hop star wed his girlfriend on March 9 at the Resort at Pelican hill in Newport Beach, California.
The bride, Kirsten, wore a strapless white dress and Chance wore a white tux with a black bow tie. It was a romantic ceremony and a string quartet played as they entered.
Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz:
After making it official back in February, the 46-year-old supermodel and the 29-year-old Tokio Hotel rocker celebrated for a second time in an opulent ceremony in Capri, Italy.
For the occasion Heidi Klum opted for an open-shouldered wedding gown, complete with voluminous sleeves, impressive embroidery, and sparkling details, all accompanied by a simple veil over her free flowing hair. As for the groom, 29-year-old Tom Kaulitz wore a cream-colored suit.
After the initial ceremony, the bride changed into a simpler white lace evening dress, while the groom stepped into a white ensemble with a fir-green jacket.
Bambam and Teddy A:
Two Big Brother(Season 3) “Double Wahala” housemates, Tope Adenibuyan aka Teddy A and Bamike Olawunmi aka BamBam were joined by close friends and family members in September.
The couple found love during their stint on BBnaija in 2018. They were paired together by Big Brother (Biggie) and tagged ‘BamTeddy’. They were both featured in a music video for ‘Count On You’ by artiste Johnny Drille, where they were seen holding a white wedding, dressed in white and a fine tux.
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas:
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas did a surprise wedding in Las Vegas in May after attending the Billboard Music Awards. The Game of Thrones star wore a white bridal jumpsuit as an Elvis impersonator joined the couple with Ring Pops while the wedding was live-streamed on Instagram.
Gina Rodriguez and Joe Locicero:
After wrapping up filming for Jane the Virgin, Gina and Joe tied the knot on May 4th with the help of some of their closest friends and family. In a wedding video that Gina posted on her Instagram, her co-star Justin Baldoni officiated the ceremony and there were plenty of emotions coming from the bride and groom throughout the wedding.
The actress wore a satin mermaid gown by Spanish brand Pronovias.
Michael Okon & Kosi Obialor:
Nollywood Actor, Michael Okon officially married his sweetheart Kosi Obialor in Lagos. The ceremony was colourful and full of love. The bride, Kosi looked gorgeous in her ball wedding gown while her groom looked dashing in his white and black tuxedo.
The celebration was attended by a number of Nollywood faces, industry friends as well as family, friends and well-wishers. Present at the weddings were Prince Jide Kosoko, Patrick Doyle, Ralph Nwadike, Alex Ekubo, Ufuoma Ejenobor, Belinda Efah, Yomi Casual, Lilian Bach and many more Nollywood faces.
