hrough these years, Temi “JTO” Otedola has evolved from being your average fashion & lifestyle blogger – having had major endorsements and features in top magazines – but now, at just 23, she’s making her design debut.
Since patronizing their designs for various editorials, she’s become a favourite of Orange Culture – as the new collaboration with the brand proves. Announced earlier days ago, JTO x Orange Culture is a blend of JTO’s Lagos style and the androgynous aesthetic that Orange Culture is known for.
Mostly tie & dye with the exception of a few vibrant pieces, the ready-to-wear capsule collection consists of powersuits, co-ords, loose shirts, mini dresses and shorts. The accompanying images were shot by Lakin Ogunbanwo in Lagos and guess who’s wearing them in the accompanying campaign? Got it in one! It’s Eilish herself, because it’s also her designs, duh!
Unveiling the inspiration behind the collection, the brand revealed via Instagram, “The collection is a super easy ready to wear capsule inspired by Temi’s love of Lagos and her super chic style.”
While Temi also announced the collab saying, “After many, many, months of work I can finally reveal that I will be releasing a clothing collection in collaboration with Orange Culture. This is my first venture into designing and Orange Culture was THE perfect fit, with their cutting edge designs made sustainably in Nigeria with Nigerian fabrics.”
The collection is live to shop now at www.orangeculture.com.ng and there will be a limited release collection at the JTO’s Lagos Launch/Meet & Greet next week.
