2020 Budget Passage Ponsponed Till December

The Nigeria Senate has postponed the passage of the 2020 appropriation bill till first week of December.

This was announced at Tuesday’s plenary session by the Senate President Ahmed Lawan, that the budget will now be passed in the first week of December.

The senate had planned its passage for Thursday, November 28.

This postponement comes following the chairman of the senate committee on appropriations, Senator Jibrin Barau comment at the plenary session that “the committee was not ready to submit the treated budget proposal for consideration, and pleaded that they be given more time.”
