Ihedioha: Supreme Court adjourns Appeal until March

The Supreme Court who nullified the election of Emeka Ihedioha as Imo state governor thereby declaring Hope Uzodinma as Imo governor elect in the March 9 Imo governorship election has adjourned the hearing of the appeal filed by the PDP and Ihedioha until March 2.

Emeka Ihedioha had appeal to the apex court to set aside the judgement which nullified his election as Imo governor elect on January 14.

This request was made by Ihedioha in an application he and the PDP filed at the Supreme court through their lawyer, Kanu Agabi(SAN).

The seven-man panel of the apex court led byJustice Tanko Muhammad, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) adjourned the hearing after Ihedioha’s lawyer, Kanu Agabi (SAN), told the court that processes were still being filed.

“My lords, processes are still coming in. Up till this morning, we were still receiving processes. We therefore, apply for an adjournment to enable all the processes to come in,” Agabi said.

This led to the adjournment of the hearing for March 2, 2020.
