Terrorism: US to Pay $7m ransom For Information on Shekau’s whereabouts

The United State’s Department of State (USDS) Wednesday announced a $7million (N2.54b) mouth-watering amount for information that would lead to the arrest of Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau.

The information was posted on the USDS’ counter-terrorism project, Reward for Justice Programme’s verified French Twitter handle @RFJ_Francais on Tuesday evening.

In 2013 the US government had placed a reward on Shekau and other Islamic States in Syria (ISIS) as well as Al-Qaeda terrorists on the global watch list.

Shekau is ranked eighth on the wanted list of the US government, previously, the Nigerian government had announced that Abubakar Shekau has been brutally wounded without a clear video clips of that claims.

Past Nigerian governments have also claimed to have dismantled the Shekau led Boko Haram, yet different bombings and terrorism are still been perpetrated by this sect group.
