Bayelsa Government House Burgled, Money In Millions Declared Missing

The office of the Deputy Chief of Staff at the Bayelsa Opolo government house on Friday has been reportedly burgled by an unknown person(s) and money in millions carted away by the burglar.

Some Reports from the government house have it that the actual money stolen is #40m. But a source direct from the Governor’s spoke in confidence that #3.5 million was stolen and not #40m or #800m.

The Bayelsa Police Command Public Relations Officer, Butswat Asinim, said N3.5m was missing.

He however acknowledged that security personnel on duty which comprised of three policemen, four NSCDC personnel and the a maintenance worker have all been arrested by the police and investigation is ongoing.
