BENDE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL: I AM NOT VYING FOR THE OFFICE OF CHAIRMAN – John Arisa Mekwa

Renowned management consultant and convener of the I Stand With Orji Kalu movement, Dr. John Arisa Mekwa has taken to the media to dispel rumours of his aspiration for the position of Chairmanship in Bende Local Government Council of Abia State which is set to hold its party primary on the 14th of November 2020.

He seized the moment to notify the public as well as party members of his non intention to contest for the vacant office as he is in support of the party’s choice as well as remain loyal to the resolves of the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, this he stressed out in his recently released letter to a member of the Bende Support Group in the person of Mr. Peter Samuel Kalu who nominated him for an expression of interest on behalf of the group.

This is his letter:

Dear Peter,

Thank you so much for your nomination. I’m not vying for any elective position at the moment. I’m indeed very sorry if this response meets you and offcourse members of our beloved party in an unfair state! I quite understand your zeal for good leadership and quality representation, but I enjoin us all to work together and build support for our own (HON. IKENNA ARIWODO) aka OBINUDO for a better Bende as we continue to keep hope alive. Thank you so much once again for finding me credible.

Signed:

Dr. John Arisa Mekwa

The Abia State chairmanship and councillorship primary is set to hold on the 14th of November and so far, several aspirants have expressed interests for the Local Government offices.
