Breaking: Court Grants EFCC Order To Detain Ex-AGF Adoke

Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke who arrived Nigeria Thursday from Dubai in the close Company of Interpol and  handed over to Nigeria’s antigraft agency, the EFCC, will be detained for 14 days by the EFCC following an order from a Federal Capital Territory High Court.

This was necessary to complete investigation over all allegations of Corruption against him with regards to his core involvement in the granting of the Oil Prospecting License (OPL) 245 to Shell and ENI termed “Malabu Oil deal”.

Justice Othman Musa of the FCT High Court Bwari sitting as a vacation judge gave the order as prayed by the EFCC’s counsel, Fatima Mustapha, to further detain the immediate past AGF, Adoke for 14 days to enable it to conclude its investigations to ascertain Adoke’s involvement.
