Mr Paul Ohonbamu has resigned on Thursday from his post as the honourable Commissioner for Information in Edo state.
Mr Ohonbamu resigned barely weeks after Governor Godwin Obaseki’s Chief of Staff Mr Taiwo Akerele also resigned from his appointment.
All these resignations are popping in just three weeks to the June 22 Governorship election in the state in which the incumbent governor Obaseki is seeking to return as governor of Edo for the next 4 years.
There has been different fracas between Obaseki and APC National Party Chairman Adams Oshiomole who handed over the governorship mantle to the incumbent governor Obaseki.
APC governorship candidates are jostling for the incoming governorship Primary election in the party, which will establish the party’s flag bearer in the June 22 governorship election in the state. Obaseki’s keen rival remains Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu who returned from the PDP back to APC in January.
