Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has hinted that Victor Osimhen has an opportunity to move to one of Europe’s top teams. But has cautioned the Lille player of the 2019/2020 season not to play second fiddle if he does move in the summer.
Osimhen who was today voted Lille player of the season scored 18 goals in his first season in the ligue 1 2019/2020 campaign after replacing Pepe who moved to Arsenal Fc.
Osimhen was signed by Lille Osc for £12m from Belgium Pro League club, Sporting Charleroi.
The Lille Striker is attracting interests from Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United. And clubs in Spain and Italy are also interested in signing the 21 years old into their ranks.
Speaking in an interview on Channels TV on Wednesday, Rohr said;
“this is a success for him and for the Super Eagles but if he is not playing, it won’t be good for him as a young player, because a young player has to be playing week-in and week-out to aid his development.”
