Don’t Politically Trivialize Security Concern of Nigerians – PDP to Presidency

Following Wednesday’s call by Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe representing Abia South Srnatorial Districts for President Buhari to resign his position over the growing insecurity challenges in the country, and the emergent response from the Presidency regarding such call by Abaribe as foolish, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the presidency not to politicize or Trivialize Security concerns of Nigerians.

The opposition People’s Democratic party(PDP) while reacting in a statement by its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, faulted the reaction of the Presidency to the calls for the resignation of the Commander-in-Chief, over worsening insecurity in the land.

The statement said, “The PDP notes that the fact that the Presidency resorted to hauling insults hate language and threats against patriotic Nigerians, including senators, instead of addressing issues of security before the parliament, shows that indeed, the Buhari led presidency has no positive answer to the litany of insecurity issues under its administration.

The statement further explained to the presidency how “Senator Abaribe spoke on behalf of millions of Nigerians who have been killed, orphaned, widowed, maimed, rendered childless and homeless, as well as others who daily live in anguish, pain and fear in the face of worsening insecurity under the failed Buhari administration.
