Few weeks after Tiwa Savage, another popular Nigerian musician, Waje, loses dad

 Nigerian singer Aituaje Iruobe better known as Waje, has announced the death of her father.

The music star announced the passing away of her father, on her Instagram page, where she wrote a touching tribute to the deceased.

However, the singer did not disclose the circumstances that led to her father’s death.

She posted saying; “A girl needs a father. A girl needs her father. This girl will always love her father. This girl will dearly miss her father. Rest well daddy. You will always be in our hearts!”

Waje first gained recognition after being featured on the remake of P-Square’s “Omoge Mi”. She was also featured on the duo’s 2008 hit track “Do Me”.

Moreover, she contributed vocals to Banky W’s “Thief My Kele” and M.I’s “One Naira”.

In 2016, Waje was one of the four judges in the inaugural season of The Voice Nigeria.
