In 2019, the Ministry of Humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development was established to carry on the social investment programmes of the Federal Government among other social development services.
To this rescue, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq was appointed to man the saddle as the Government reaches out to the grassroots and the poorest of the poor.
Between 2019 and now, the N-Power programme has been nothing short of a success with many hundreds of thousands of Nigerians from across the six geopolitical zones benefitting directly and millions of families and households benefitting indirectly.
The same applies to the school feeding programme, the conditional cash transfer, to mention but a few of the Federal Government programmes under the leadership of Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, all of which have been a success, inspite of the campaign of calumny and media distractions of her detractors.
With emphasis on the N-Power programme, the Ministry of Humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development under the leadership of Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, hundreds of thousands of Nigerians especially in the grassroots have been trained and empowered to be self-established, many of the beneficiaries, in the process, are not rather job seekers but now employers of labour.
Without any iota of doubt, Hajiya Sadiya has thus far, even without noise, delivered on the job of empowering Nigerians and it is a truth as solid as the rock of Gibraltar that can not be moved, that emphatically, via the N-Power scheme of the Federal Government as administered by Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, the lives of millions of Nigerian families have been touched positively, and surely, the Ministry is poised to do more as Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq continues to man the saddle of the job to steer it to greater glory and more and more success as the Buhari-led administration continues to ensure that the country trails the right part in ensuring the need to buffer socio-economic development in Africa.
