MC Oluomo was not invited and did not attend any colloquium – Unilag

The Management of the University of Lagos UNILAG Akoka has finally reacted to the banner displaying the picture of the Chairman of the National Union of Road and Transport Worker NURTW, Musiliu AKA MC Oluomo on a banner as an invited guest to a colloquium.

According to the statement released by the school management, it disclosed on Friday that the banner which contained the picture of MC Oluomo and other special guests to the colloquium was not approved by the institution as such the NURTW chairman was not invited nor did he attend.

The institution Principal Assistant Registrar, Communication Unit, Mrs Taiwo Oloyede, revealed the reported event was organised by students in the Department of Geography which took place on Tuesday.

Extract from the statement released read,

“The management of the University of Lagos hereby notifies parents, guardians and other stakeholders of the university that it is aware of the event to which the Lagos State Caretaker Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, was allegedly invited.

“The event was a colloquium on ‘Transport Efficiency: Employing Lagos Terrain Alternatives.’ organised by the National Association of Geography Students (NAGS) on Tuesday, September 17, 2019.
