Beroro Efekoro 28, is from the Niger Deltan part of Nigeria, born and raised in Delta and Lagos state respectively.
He moved with his father and siblings to New York, US in 2008 as a Secondary school student. He graduated from Boys and Girls High School, Albany County, New York.
Towards becoming an Albany County legislator, Efekoro defeated incumbent, Douglas Bullock with a landslide votes, with 289 votes against his opponent’s 99 votes.
Efekoro becomes the first Nigerian born American citizen to be elected to county office statewide.
December 29th, he received his certificate of return as the Albany County legislator and was sworn in to serve for the next four years as an Albany County Legislator.
