Nigeria’s IGP Deploys Anti-riot Police to All States of the Federation

The IGP M.A Adamu, has ordered the immediate deployment of anti-riot police unit – the Police Mobile Force (PMF) – to protect lives and property of all Nigerians and secure critical national infrastructure across the country.

The IGP in a statement gave the order following the destruction of different police stations in the country by thugs who are said to have hijacked the End SARS protest.

Adamu also ordered massive deployment of Police operatives to strengthen the security around Correctional facilities nationwide.

This is coming after hoodlums stormed Oko Prison in Benin Edo state to free about 1,996 inmates and also the destruction of government properties and burning of police stations in Edo, Lagos and Abuja.

The IGP acknowledged the fact that the protests had been hijacked by thugs to cause serious damaged.
