No raid on African Shrine to be open for performance on Sept 26

After the alleged raid of the New African Shrine by the Lagos State Taskforce some few days ago, the management of the shrine has come out to clear the air as it stated that there was no raid on the shrine.

THE NEW AFRICA SHRINE: ALL IS WELL!!! The attention of the Management of the New Africa Shrine has been drawn to various reports about the Lagos State Task Force storming Shrine. This is not true.

On 12/09/19 from approximately 8pm to 10pm men of the Lagos Task Force were on the “Streets” of NAS outside shrine to clear those engaged in illegal street trading and noise pollution.

This did not affect NAS itself.
We would like to thank all our fans and the general public for reaching out. We are happy to say, the New Africa Shrine remains a foremost tourist destination in Lagos -Nigeria. We are safe and remain open for business.

Thank you
Signed
NAS MANAGEMENT

Also, Femi Fela Kuti, son of the late Fela Kuti on Tuesday disclosed that there will be a performance at shrine on the 26th of September and it is going to be free for all.

He said,

“We will be back performing at the AFRIKA SHRINE on the 26th September ‘Thursday’’.It will be FREE. Thank you”
