Ngg.ng had reported on January 14 the sack of Emeka Ihedioha of PDP as Imo state governor elect in the March 9,2019 Imo state governorship election by a supreme Court’s judgment with the confirmation of the All Progressives Congress(APC) candidate Chief Hope Uzodinma, is the duly elected governor of the state and ordered that he should be sworn in as the governor of the state.
The People’s Democratic Party(PDP) been unsatisfied with the Supreme Court judgment, Scheduled Monday as a day of protest to the Supreme Court in Abuja under the leadership of Chief Uche Secondus, PDP National Chairman.
However, report reaching ngg.ng said that the planned protest embarked upon, on Monday, in Abuja by the leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) against the judgement of the Supreme Court on the 2019 Imo State governorship election which sacked Emeka Ihedioha as governor has been disrupted at the Eagle Square.
According to a reliable source in Abuja, the protesters took-off from the PDP complex in Maitama, Abuja were en route the Supreme Court, but approaching the Eagles Square, they perceived the presence of suspected members of the opposition All Progressives Congress(APC), had gathered at the Supreme Court junction, to prevent violent confrontation and oppositional clashes, the PDP leaders urged members protesters to quit the protest to the Supreme Court, which initially was supposed to be the terminal point of the protest.
Ngg.ng confirmed further that as the member were trying to retreat, at the Transcorp Hilton junction, a collusion occurred as one of the vehicles conveying some members of PDP rammed into a truck also conveying other PDP protesters.
Present for the protest were PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus; the 2019 Vice-President candidate, Peter Obi; and the Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, Dino Melaye.
Also present were members of the PDP National Working Committee as well as the PDP Youth Leader, Ude Okoye.
Reports have it that no live was lost as the truck rammed into tumbled.
