National chairman of Providence Peoples Congress (PPC), Mr. Benson Adetona, has tasked Nigerians on the responsibility of giving birth to a new nation, where equity, fairness and justice prevail, stressing that it was high time the country was delivered from recklessness.
He stated this while delivering what he called his state of the nation address in Lagos. Adetona beckoned on Nigerians to set-up right standards by removing the evil of corruption that has perverted the country’s values.
While urging the electorate not to see other political parties as a burden, Adetona said the two dominant parties – Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) – are the same, adding that they are responsible for the country’s woes.
The PPC chairman, who was flanked by the party’s presidential candidate, Pastor Victor Okhai, said many Nigerians were tired of the two parties. He stated that PPC, as one of the political parties established in 2013, has 30 Senatorial candidates, 70 Reps and 15 governorship candidates on its platform, adding: “Nigerians should discern which of the other political parties truly represents the people and could fight for the good of the country”.
