The former Governor of Oyo State, Isiaka Ajimobi will on Monday 16th of December clock the age of 70.
Ahead of the celebration, President Muhammadu Buhari via his spokesperson on New Media, Bashir Ahmad has sent his goodwill message.
Bashir Ahmad in a statement on Sunday said, ”President Muhammadu Buhari rejoices with former Oyo State Governor, Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi, on his 70th birthday tomorrow, joining his family, friends and associates in celebrating the milestone.”
In the same light, the current Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare also celebrated the former Governor as he paid him a visit.
Sunday Dare wrote via his Twitter handle, “Ahead of the 70th birthday thanksgiving service this evening, I spent a couple of hours with the ‘birthday boy’, former Governor of Oyo state, my Egbon, my leader, Senator Abiola Ajimobi In his Oluyole residence. HE, Osun State soon joined in. The celebration is building up.”

Abiola Ajimobi was born on 16th of December 1949. He was in the oil for 26 years before he ventured into politics. He was elected as a Senator of the Republic of Nigeria representing Oyo South Senatorial District on the platform of the in 2003 under the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
After a term in the Red Chamber, he contested in 2007 for the governorship of Oyo state under the banner of the All Nigeria People’s Party, a bid which he lost. He, however, recontested again in the April 2011 elections under the Action Congress of Nigeria and was elected Governor of Oyo State in a closely contested vote.
