Senator Ifeanyi Ubah Reacts To His Court Sacking from Senate

Shortly after Senator Ifeanyi Ubah(YPP) representing Anambra South Senatorial District alleged dismissal from the National Assembly by Justice Bello Kawu of Federal High Court Abuja, the senator reacted by saying he was not sacked but told to approach the Court of Appeal as the Justice Kawu reaffirmed his April 11,2019 judgment which ordered INEC to withdraw his Certificate of Return as senator elect and issuing Obinna Uzoh(PDP) a fresh Certificate of Return as Senator elect and as the runner up in the election held in Anambra state February 23,2019.

According to a Punch news phone interview with Ifeanyi Ubah on Friday in Abuja, Ifeanyi Ubah informed punch that, the FCT Court only refused to vacate its earlier ruling, which had since been faulted on the grounds of jurisdiction.

He explained that Justice Bello Kawu ruled on an application to vacate an earlier judgement of the court on the ground7‰s of lack of jurisdiction and asked the parties to proceed to the Appeal Court.

Ngg.ng gathered that the allegedly sacked Senator said that the reports of his sacking is not correct. He declared that he remains the Substantive Senator representing Anambra South.
