One of Lagos most sought after architect and Chief Executive of The Architects Place Ltd, a company with specialty in construction and interior designs, Arch.Teju Ajayi has announced the passing of his father, Elder Julius Dada Ajayi Moradeyo.
The socialite made the sad news public Saturday, April 18, in the afternoon.
His late father, ngg.ng gathered had transitioned into glory on the auspicious date of his 73rd birthday.
Born Friday, April 18, 1947, in Itaogbolu, Akure-North local government of Ondo State, Southwest Nigeria, into the noble family of Pa Chief Rufus Ajayi, Teju’s late father passed on Saturday, April 18, 2020.
Until his retirement, Late Elder Julius Ajayi was a Superintendent in the Nigerian Customs Service.
Reacting to the demise of his acclaimed superhero, Arch. Teju Ajayi explained that although, his late dad had taken ill for a while, the family was optimistic he’d recuperate, considering efforts and expenditures that had gone into medicals.
As such, his demise came as a shock to the family.
“Baba’s demise came a shock to the everyone. No one was expecting it. Although, he was sick, and hospitalized and then passed on. My dad was someone that was contended with whatever he had.
“He believed in hard work, and service to humanity. He was a lover of Christ, he was a pianist in church at Anglican. He was a lover of music. At home, mostly when he woke in the morning, he would play hymns and sing worship songs. He would be greatly missed. We take solace in the fact that he lived a good life,” Teju remarked.
As regards funeral arrangement, TejuOga, a sobriquet he earned from his friends within the social circle, explains that plans have been stalled, pending an end to the ravaging covid-19 pandemic, and social distancing orders relaxed.
Late Elder Julius is survived by his widow, Mrs. Christiana Abosede Ajayi, and the children, Seyi Ajayi, Teju Ajayi, Gbesola Ajibade (nee Ajayi), Damola Ajayi and Adedayo Ajayi.
